Car story

In January 1965 the Shelby GT350 was shown to the public for the first time. This was the first time Shelby had cooperated with Ford. All 1965 Mustang models are fastback design but the uniqueness of Mustang GT350 lies in its purer racing genes compared to other models. The rear seat was taken out of the cockpit and a special fiberglass floor took its place. The spare tire is embedded under the rear windshield glass. The engine used is a Ford 4.7L Hi-Po type with an output of 202kW. Only 562 of the 1965 Shelby GT 350 were produced of which 516 were the street car version at a base price of US$4 547 which was a very high price at the time. The other 46 are Shelby GT350R models dedicated to road racing. It is precisely the performance of these more than 40 models in the competition that established the image of the Ford Mustang as a high-performance model.
