The WuWu is a British PLEXI-style distortion effect and the GERVANA team has applied their own proven floorstanding preamp technology to the WuWu giving it a warm dense tube-like sound. At the same time the E-Woo can also be understood as a 0.5 preamp effector. In order to meet the needs of musicians in multiple scenarios of use Woon also has the function of access to the speaker back stage use.

The TONE knob gives the WuWu an extremely wide range of equalization adjustments LEVEL is the basic volume adjustment PRESENCE provides additional high frequency compensation and when this knob is turned off the circuitry is not colored by ultra-high frequencies which makes it suitable for use as an effect device in a preamplifier for loudspeakers and BRIGHT GAIN and NORMAL GAIN control the distortion level of the corresponding channel. The VOICE dial provides different distortion styles and the CLIP dial provides different clipping modes.

The circuit design of the WuWu is a subtle replica of the PLEXI’s patchbay with the BRIGHT GAIN and NORMAL GAIN knobs corresponding perfectly to the PLEXI’s original two channels. When these two knobs are opened synchronously it’s like connecting the two channels of the original speaker in parallel allowing the musician to control the mixing ratio of the volume of the two channels by means of the knobs. When any knob is closed the corresponding channel is also closed.

The left and right dials of the WuWu offer a wide variety of tone processing and clipping modes. On the right side the VOICE dial is like a magician offering a variety of overdrive styles and pre-distortion equalization methods. The top STAND is like a steady English gentleman adopting a moderate English distortion processing method showing the classic English style. The middle gear ORIGINAL is like a skillful soul mate under the strong support of GERVANA’s unique audio circuit technology it is like a flawless mirror reflecting the sound signal of the instrument retaining the sound quality of the dry instrument signal intact and magnifying every touch of the fingertips. The bottom STICK gear is like a master of fusion skillfully blending the audio processing of the two dials to preserve the English tonal qualities while at the same time like a clear spring of water it restores the dry piano sound as much as possible.

On the left side the CLIP playback is a mysterious doorway to different musical worlds. On the top MODERN is like a fashion pioneer leading the way with the most popular clipping styles of the last few years. The middle NATURAL is like a pure messenger without additional clipping preserving the natural overload of the circuit like pure heavenly music providing you with a pure natural overload. The bottom VINTAGE is like a messenger of time offering vintage style clipping to bring you back to the classic flavor of the past.

The GERVANA design team poured their deep experience in effects preamplification into the VINTAGE and the BRIGHT GAIN channel preserves the sonic qualities of the PLEXI speakers to a near-perfect degree. With the assistance of the PRESENCE knob the PLEXI is equipped with excellent functions as a preamplifier. This allows the PLEXI to fully utilize its functions as a preamplifier. In order to make the PLEXI fully functional as a preamplifier the designer Mr. G. Lao designed the PRESENCE knob to compensate for the high-frequency range so that the PLEXI’s full-bodied powerful and penetrating sound can be produced by different speakers through the high-frequency compensation. When the WuWu is used as a preamp and plugged into the rear of a speaker the PRESENCE knob can be turned up appropriately to produce a great sound with the texture of the preamp. When using the GERVANA as a preamplifier it is recommended that the PRESENCE knob be turned off and the TONE knob be adjusted appropriately.
